Is it right or wrong for you to Believe in something you have no evidence of?

 

right although it's not the best idea, freedom of belief is a part of being human.

wrong Scientific method, bitches

right I have no hard evidence to support my religious beliefs, at least none that I can touch - except the Bible which is not a literal translations so shouldn't be considered. But I am faithful to my church and my choice to be a christian.

wrong Obviously that is insane, and logically contradictory. The real question is, what constitutes evidence for any given person? What utterly convinces me may not make the least sense to someone else.

wrong non ratinoal thought are worthless

right I believe in the ability for *all* humans to be good, but in this day and age, it's hard to find solid evidence of that.

right Life without faith is dull

right you have a right to believe in anything you want to.

wrong I could take actions that would harm myself or others based on a belief that might not be true.

right it's good to have faith in something

wrong Unless I find evidence that I'm satisfied with, it's an exercise in stupid.

right It would be wrong if you had evidence of the contrary, and still believe in something false.

right people need hope

right ignoring the GOD issue... if your best friend of 20+ years who has never lied to you tells you she took the trash out...

wrong beliving is generally something you act on.

wrong Belief in something that is likely no more than a product of imagination is foolish, and demonstrates an lack of critical thinking that causes much of the harm present in modern society.

wrong there is no time in life to waste on bullshit

wrong Evidence such engender belief; no evidence, no belief.
