right the Internet should be working on a different payment model. There are too many ads, and they're designed by experts on mind control. It's disrupting our ability to make good decisions.
right your flawed business model is not my problem
right I don't want to be forcably marketed to.
right I actively avoid companies whose ads I see on the net. By blocking ads, I'm doing the webmaster a favor.
right I pay for my internet access, therefore I don't want stupid pop-ups robbing my bandwidth or hogging my CPU.

right ads are incredibly intrusive when you are trying to acheive some work through the web

right Perhaps if enough people did it, it would put an end to those painfully annoying animated flash ads. Text based ads, I have no problem with.

wrong you are disrespecting the content creators' wishes. If you don't want their content as they want to serve it, you should go elsewhere.

right it's more flexible that using liquid paper to block out the offending sections of my screen. They can't force me to look at their ads any more than they can force me to look at their website.
