Is it right or wrong for you to burn a copy of Windows XP?
burn flags of other countries ?
build an exact copy of an existing car ?
steal an OEM CD-ROM of Windows XP ?
make fun of people who use Windows and don't know any better ?
right its developers have already been paid. Why should I now pay their parasitic shareholders some more money?
right microsoft causes global warming
right if microsoft get me 1 dollar for any crash i get him 2000 dollor
right Microsoft is anti-competative and monopolistic enough to justify a certain degree of Robin-Hood morality.
right because who doesn't have yet a copy of WXP??? And ... you can burn for backup purposes... ;)
right every copy of Windows must be burned like the forbidden books of old. Environment might suffer for a bit (damn plastic), but our culture will prosper.
wrong no burn Vista instead! (random hatred!)
right If its backups and stuff, then I see no problem
right all Windows XP are copies
wrong USE OPENSOURCE, LINUX *BSD
wrong burning CDs releases toxic chemicals into the environment
right why not ?!
right it's your copy, microsoft licensing sucks, you need to reinstall after every crash
right microshyt
right thanks, Billy G :)
right We already bought the software; Do I really want to pay for it again just because the original copy is broken, or something?
right you never know when you'll lose your original...
right it is the only OS that works worth a damn for Windows. Who really wants Vista and all it's problems?
right Fuck Microsoft
right By agreeing to the liscence in using the software, you are allowed to make a backup copy. You may not be allowed, however, to use that on another pc (think OEM)
right its wrong?
right you are allowed to make a backup of their disks, and you're only paying for the individual license key if you buy it. The disk isn't user specific.
right Digital copies where made to be easy to copy. It's limiting our society as a whole to limit this copying to the copyright holder.
wrong it's theft
wrong you might have to upgrade to windows vista
right You can keep a homeless guy warm for a night.
right For your own personal backup copy, yes. For distribution, no.
right I might need a backup copy if the original disk gets damaged.
right I need a backup copy in case the original is destroyed
right the right to make backups are in the Fair Use doctrine.
right I'm just reformatting my computer and lost the system disc. Leave me the fuck alone.
right it is fine to back up your own data. It is what you do with it next which could be morally ambiguous!
right because I've already purchased it. I'm sure legally I'm still not allowed, but if I payed for it once I think it should be mine indefinately.
right fuck Microsoft, man.
wrong copying doesn't work with Microsoft's business model. You should either buy it or not use it. You don' t have an intrinsic right to use it.
right I burn and steal anything I can.
right it harms nobody.
right I would buy it if Microsoft actually cared about quality
right I bought it, I can do what I want with it. It is mine.
