Is it right or wrong for you to keep a lost wallet for yourself?
wrong it would really fuck up someone's life to lose their drivers license, social security card, atm card etc.
wrong it dosn't mater if it's not likely to be returned had it into the place you found it or the police
wrong it is stealing. Period.
wrong you have to give back at least documents
right but giving it back is funnier sometimes
wrong that's somebody's fucking wallet, man. If you want the money, take it and say it was gone when you found it. Just return the fucking wallet.
wrong unless it's empty making it impossible to identify the ower.
wrong You should empty it of cash, use the cards for one or two light purchases, then hand in the ID somewhere. Unlike cash, ID can be hard to replace.
right finders keepers.
wrong This takes resources from someone who may not have surplus.
wrong wallets usually have identifyinf info that you can use to contact the owner and return it so they don't have to cancel all their credit cards and buy new a new drivers license
wrong Somebody else needs it more than you. Unless it's empty. I've seen empty wallets on the street before - take them if you need a new one.
wrong It's theft, which is wrong. If your family was starving and the owner could get by without it, it would be justified (but still wrong).
